Reddit and Redditgifts want to help those teachers in need.
We know the reddit community is fantastically generous; last year you gave over $610,000 to help teachers set up their classrooms.
And you really do make a difference. Something as simple as a pack of glue sticks, a ream of printer paper, or a pack of pencils can make a huge difference in someone’s classroom. Join us today as we help teachers get the supplies they need to make their classrooms awesome and change the lives of children all around the world!
Will you send some supplies to a teacher?
Here’s how:
- There is no minimum or maximum value or suggested spending amount; we just ask that you send something thoughtful that will help a teacher in their classroom! Your teacher will provide information to help you do this.
- Sign up for the exchange and choose “I want to send a care package.”
- The morning of August 24th, 2015, we will close signups and our computer program will choose whom you will be sending a care package to.
- Once you come back here to pick up your teacher’s information, you’ll have until September 11th, 2015, to ship your gift. When you ship it, keep a receipt and come back here to tell us you’ve shipped it.
- Once your teacher posts the care package you sent, we’ll send you an email with a link.
If you would like to sign up to give to more than one teacher, be sure to sign up for rematching. We always have more teachers signed up than givers, so we’d love it if you’re willing to help out more than one!
Are you a teacher in need looking to receive a care package?
Here’s what you need to do:
- Sign up for the exchange and choose “I am a teacher and want to receive a care package.”
- The morning of August 24th, 2015, we will close signups and our computer program will choose who will be sending a care package to you.
- When the person matched to you ships your care package, we’ll send you an email letting you know.
- When you receive your care package, come back to redditgifts and post an amazing thank-you note, hopefully with photos!
Note: We review each application that comes in for the teachers, so please keep an eye out for emails coming from @redditgifts.com in case we have any questions for you.
