In this course, developers and it admins will learn the basics of managing a Window Server 2012 R2 machine. This course covers installation , network configuration, disk management, and more. This course is designed for all developers, from those who manage servers themselves, to those who work in a an enterprise but want to be able to improve their ability to work with IT Pros.

Course topics :

This course will be divided into 3 main sections :

1. getting Started
2. Networking
3. Management

1 –  In the “Getting started” section we will have an overview about windows server 2012 and its main features and editions.Then we will go into the installation process where we will install windows 2012 R2 as a virtual machine on a VMware workstation environment , and i will explain the installation process in detail.

After the installation finishes , i will show you how to set the initial configuration of windows like changing the server name,enabling windows update and checking the clock setting.

2 –  In section 2 which is the networking section , I will show you how to configure networking by explaining the concept of NIC teaming and creating a team on the server, then I will cover managing and creating rules in windows firewall,and in the last lecture I will show you how to enable remote desktop connection and connect remotely to the server and manage it from the network.

3 – In section 3 ,I will show you how to manage your disks in windows server , and how to create mount points to access your partitions without using drive letters , then in the next lecture I will show you how to manage users and groups and then i will give you an overview about windows update in windows server 2012.

Please take a note that this course is not for absolute beginners , it aims not to make you advanced windows server user, but it aims to give you an overview about windows server 2012 in a way if you want to go into advanced level then you will have some basics with this course.
