With Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox releasing THE PEANUTS MOVIE on November 6, generations of fans both old and new are discovering the adventures of a boy named Charlie Brown.
Those adventures with Snoopy, Linus and Lucy, Pig Pen, Peppermint Patty, Schroeder, The Little Red-Haired Girl and more are timeless, and I’m in the crowd that holds sincere hope that Steve Martino will have crafted a worthy companion when his film arrives in theaters.
For THE PEANUTS MOVIE, it’s composer Christophe Beck (ANT-MAN, FROZEN) that has some big shoes to fill – those once occupied by the Vince Guaraldi Trio. It was Guaraldi’s music that became just as iconic as the creations of Charles M. Schulz, and for many (likely myself included), a first introduction to jazz.
