Samsung Malaysia: K-POP with Galaxy A Series 2016 Contest

Duration
1. The K-POP with Galaxy A Series 2016 (“Contest”) will run from 15 February 2016 to 5 March 2016 (“Contest Period”). Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd (interchangeably referred to as “Samsung” or “Organiser”) shall reserve the right to shorten or extend or cancel the Contest Period at its sole discretion without any prior notice.
Eligibility
2. This Contest is open only to all Samsung Galaxy users in Malaysia, 18 years of age and above (as of 15 February 2016).
3. Employees or agents of the Organiser or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone connected to this Contest are not eligible to enter.
How to Participate
1. Participation is through the K-POP with Galaxy A Series 2016 (“Contest”) only.
2. To Participate in the Contest, each contestant (interchangeably referred to as “Contestant”, “You” or “Your”) shall:
2.1 Log in to your personal Facebook/Instagram & connect your Facebook/Instagram account to the contest event page.
2.2 Like Samsung’s Facebook page and “Samsung Mobile Malaysia” & follow Samsung’s Instagram account “samsungmobilemy”;
2.3 Upload your selfie photo on Facebook or Instagram together with the hashtag #mygalaxyA2016; tag Samsung Mobile Malaysia Facebook page or Instagram account (either one).
2.4 Share your participation on Facebook/Instagram “Thank you Samsung Galaxy A series 2016, I want my EXO tickets !!”.
2.5 Creative submission of collage or time-lapse video with more K-pop elements will stand a higher chance to win.
3. You must ensure that your Facebook or Instagram accounts are set to public so entries can be seen by Samsung.
4. Contestants can submit as many selfies / videos as they like but each contestant can only win once in this Contest (unique IC number to be verified)
5. Winners will be selected on weekly-basis. Winner announcement will take place on 21st Feb (Sunday), 28th Feb (Sunday) & 7th March (Monday) at 12 P.M. Total weekly selections will be as per below:-
i. Week 1: 15 Feb, 12am – 18 Feb, 11.59pm. 15 winners in total.
ii. Week 2: 19 Feb, 12am – 24 Feb, 11.59pm. 15 winners in total.
iii. Week 3: 25 Feb, 12am – 5 Mar, 11.59pm. 20 winners in total.
Each winner will receive a pair of EXO concert tickets (CAT 3) and also a pair of EXO Limited Edition posters.
6. Prizes for this Contest include:
6.1.1 50 pairs of EXO concert tickets (CAT 3)
6.1.2 50 pairs of EXO Limited Edition posters
7. Winners will be contacted through Facebook inbox or DM on Instagram where they will provide their personal details before they proceed to redeem the tickets at Starcom office, Menara Olympia.
8. Contestants that have been identified as winners will be required to submit their contact details (name, IC copy, mobile number and mailing address) for verification to (organiser’s email address) by 8th March 2016.
Liability and Responsibility
1. By participating in this Contest, each contestant agrees to release and hold Samsung and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, advertising, promotion, and fulfilment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the product, or travel to or from any gift-related activity, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
2. Samsung will not be responsible for any inaccurate details provided by the Contestant to claim their prizes if any and reserves the right to disqualify the Contestant and select the next qualified Contestant as Winner without any liability to the disqualified Contestant whatsoever.
3. Samsung has the absolute right to disqualify/remove any submission by the Contestants that is defamatory, malicious towards any party or has potential adverse impact to the Contest and/or Samsung’s brand and reputation.
4. Except where expressly provided herein, you shall bear your own costs and expenses incurred and/or arising from your participation in the Contest, and no reimbursement may be sought from Samsung and/or the sponsors.
5. Samsung makes no guarantee of the availability of its web services and will not be held responsible for interruption of service that may interfere with the ability to participate in the Contest.
Judging Criteria
1. Usage of the correct hashtag.
2. Creativity
3. K-pop Elements
4. Shares and Likes.
5. Judges’ decision will be final.
WINNER’S PRIZE & PRIZE REDEMPTION
1. 50 winners will be given a pair of EXO concert tickets (CAT 3) to watch EXO live in Malaysia and a 50 pair of EXO Limited Edition posters.
2. All prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and there is no cash alternative.
3. All judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence or questions will be entertained.
4. The Organiser reserves the right to replace the prizes with items of similar value in the event that the published prizes become unavailable.
5. The Contestant is required to produce a Proof of Identity during or prior to prize redemption for purposes of verification. The only forms of Proof of Identity accepted by the Organiser are as follows: Malaysian Identity card/Passport/Drivers licence. A failure to provide any Proof of Identity and/or any discrepancy found in the identification and verification of the Contestant entitles the Organiser to disqualify Contestant/Winner.
6. The Organiser will contact the Winner via Facebook inbox or DM on Instagram where they will provide their personal details before they proceed to redeem the tickets at Starcom Office , Level 16, Menara Olympia, 8 Jalan Raja Chulan, 50200 KL. 7. In the event that a Contestant is not contactable after TWO (2) attempts for TWO (2) consecutive days after end of each week, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify the Contestant’s eligibility and the next qualified Contestant will be selected.
8. All Winners must claim their prizes within THREE (3) days after being contacted by the Organiser (via personal message or other forms of communication). Should the Winner fail to claim their prize or nominate a representative within the time allocated, the Organiser reserves the right to forfeit the prizes or award the prizes to other Winners. Winners must produce their proof of identity in order to redeem/receive their prize.
9. In the event a Winner requires a representative to claim their prize(s) on their behalf, the representatives must bring a letters of consent signed by the Winner, a copy of the Winner’s proof of identity, and the representatives’ proof of identity. If the Winner or his/her representative is not able to claim the prize(s) within the THREE (3) days, the Winner will be automatically disqualified. The Organiser reserves the right to forfeit the prize or to award the prize to another Contestant/Winner.
Rights of the Organiser
1. Subject to applicable laws and regulations, the Organiser reserves the right to change the Prizes with item(s) of equal value and to change these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
2. In the event of discrepancies of any information submitted by the Contestant during verification of Winners by the Organiser or any breach third party’s intellectual property rights or privacy by the Contestant, the Organiser has absolute right to reject to disqualify the submission and the Winner and has the right to select the suitable other Contestant as the Winner.
3. The Organiser reserves the right to reject any post/ Winner at its sole and absolute discretion without having to assign any reasons whatsoever. In case of any dispute, the Organiser reserves the right to make the final decision. The Organiser’s decision is final and no further correspondence or appeal will be entertained.
Terms of Participation
1. By participating in this, the Contestant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts the Terms and Conditions stated herein and decisions of the Organiser.
2. By entering, Contestants agree to grant the Organiser and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, directors, officers, agents, independent contractors and advertising/promotion agencies the use of the winning submission of the selfies and/or videos in this Contest as well as his/her name and details for all of its promotional, publicity and marketing activities now and in the future without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
3. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

By providing your personal data, you are indicating that you have read, understood and agreed that your personal data will be recorded, stored or otherwise processed in accordance to Samsung’s Privacy Policy available at http://www.samsung.com/my/info/privacy.html.
