Every year on the third Friday in June, Tropical Smoothie Café celebrates National Flip Flop Day, when we raise funds to benefit our national charity partner, Camp Sunshine. What started as a holiday to thank our customers for their loyalty to our brand, has turned into a mission to raise money for Camp Sunshine and support children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
This year on June 19th, Tropical Smoothie Café will celebrate our 9th annual National Flip Flop Day. Come by one of our cafes wearing flip flops on June 19th between 2 pm to 7 pm for National Flip Flop Day and we’ll recognize your support with a FREE 24 oz. Jetty Punch Smoothie!!
The Story Behind Our National Flip Flop Day LogoThis year we had a great time partnering with Camp Sunshine for the first National Flip Flop Day Logo Design Contest. All campers were invited to submit creative logo designs to be used in our 2015 National Flip Flop Day promotional materials. We asked the children to reflect on their experience with Camp Sunshine and Tropical Smoothie Café and the designs we received were very special. The two winning logos we selected from Jack and Halie, represent the importance of Camp Sunshine to the children and families that attend.
